We created Esploro Travel for those who believe travel should feel like discovery, not a checklist.
In a world of overly curated holidays and carbon-copy itineraries, we wanted to offer something more raw, more real. Think misty fjords, empty beaches, fire-lit camps, dusty backroads, chance encounters, and the kind of silence that doesn’t exist on the tourist trail.
We take you beyond the expected with trips that are immersive, small in size, and high in impact. Whether you’re swimming with orcas in Arctic waters, climbing volcanic ridges at dawn, or crossing deserts by train or foot, you won’t be just ticking off landmark: you’ll be writing your own story.
WHY “ESPLORO”?
It means I explore in Italian. Because that’s the spirit we want to protect: curious, humble, wide-eyed. We’re not here to chase postcards or perform adventure. We’re here to feel alive, challenged. And maybe even changed.
That mindset shapes everything we do. And it starts with the people behind the journeys.
WHO WE ARE
We’re three people with different backgrounds, but the same instinct: to go deeper than the obvious, and to build journeys we’d genuinely want to be part of: honest, intense, unforgettable. Over the past two decades, we’ve worked across 60+ countries as photographers, filmmakers, athletes, guides, and expedition leads. Often in places where logistics are fragile and trust matters more than branding.
At the core of Esploro is a small team. Around it, a wider circle: local guides, skippers, divers, drivers, rangers, and fixers we’ve worked with for years. Some travel with us. Others operate behind the scenes. All are people we trust in environments where improvisation isn’t an option.
OLAF PIGNATARO
Olaf is a professional photographer. His international career has been shaped by long-term work in remote and logistically complex environments, from the Arctic to the open ocean. At Esploro, he focuses on trip design and creative direction, building small-group journeys grounded in real access, ethical practices, and time spent in the water.
ANDREA TORELLA
Andrea brings a long-term background in board sports and business to Esploro. A former professional freestyle snowboarder, his focus today is on surf-driven travel, with deep experience across remote reef destinations worldwide. At Esploro, he oversees financial strategy and business planning, ensuring that each journey is built on solid, sustainable foundations.
FEDERICO ROMANELLO
Fede leads the development of snow-based and high-commitment adventure expeditions. His experience spans remote and logistically complex regions, from Central Asia and Alaska to off-grid routes such as the Mauritania Iron Ore Train. At Esploro, he focuses on destinations that demand technical knowledge, careful logistics, and a strong understanding of terrain and context.
