YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE

The Alps take on a different dimension when you cross them by e-MTB. This 6-day journey traces a refined line from the Mont Blanc region toward Verbier, following the spirit of the Haute Route through high valleys, panoramic passes, and historic Alpine terrain. Across four guided riding days, you move through a constantly shifting landscape of wide alpine tracks, elevated ridgelines, and expansive viewpoints. The routes are chosen for flow, scenery, and continuity, allowing you to ride together, absorb the scale of the mountains, and travel with intention rather than urgency. The electric assist, combined with full logistical support, transforms elevation into perspective rather than effort.
Each stage is seamlessly connected: luggage transferred ahead, routes adjusted to conditions, and evenings reserved in carefully selected Alpine hotels known for their character and hospitality. Days unfold in clean mountain air; nights end with regional cuisine, quiet comfort, and the satisfaction of having crossed real ground.
This is the Haute Route interpreted with balance and sophistication: a supported Alpine e-MTB crossing for riders who value landscape, quality, and the privilege of experiencing the mountains without compromise.

KEY INFORMATION

DAY 1 – Arrival in the Italian Alps

Arrival in Milan Malpensa or Turin, followed by a private transfer in Courmayeur, nestled beneath the south face of Mont Blanc. Settle into your hotel, get comfortable with the surroundings, and meet the group for a relaxed dinner.

DAY 2 – Ride with a View of Mont Blanc

Your first real ride starts from Courmayeur. You get to know your e-MTB and the terrain as you explore trails and balcony roads with panoramic views of Mont Blanc. You ride through alpine villages, meadows in bloom, and beneath glacier-carved cliffs. The pace is enjoyable and scenic, with plenty of stops: the mountains are too good to rush past. Return to Courmayeur in the afternoon and enjoy dinner together.

DAY 3 – From Mont Blanc to Aosta

Today you begin the crossing. From Courmayeur you follow trails into the heart of the Aosta Valley, through larch forests, past stone chapels and historical tracks. As you descend toward Aosta, the scenery opens: vineyards, hilltop castles, and the Dora Baltea river in the distance. Arrive in Aosta in the afternoon, with time to explore the town, sip local wine, and choose a dinner of your preference.

DAY 4 – Crossing into Switzerland

The landscape shifts as you head toward the legendary St. Bernard Pass. You climb through high valleys and follow panoramic trails that wind between pastures and ridges, reaching the border. From there, enjoy a gentle descent into Switzerland with its own distinct light and atmosphere. You arrive in the Verbier area in time for dinner.

DAY 5 – Verbier Ride & Return to Aosta

Today’s ride takes you into the trails around Verbier and the Val de Bagnes. A relaxed loop lets you ride local lines and soak up high Alpine views before loading the van in the early afternoon. You head back to Aosta for your last hotel night, unwind, and enjoy an evening in town — with dinner suggestions from your guides if you’d like.

DAY 6 – Departure

After breakfast it’s time to leave on a private transfer back to Milan Malpensa or Turin. You say goodbye to the bikes and mountains with memories of long trails, panoramic crossings, and good company, the feeling of purposeful movement still with you.

You will fly into Turin (TRN) or Milan Malpensa (MXP), the most convenient international gateways to the Italian Alps. As Esploro Travel guests, a private transfer from either airport is included on the official arrival day, taking you directly to Courmayeur at the foot of Mont Blanc.
The journey is structured as a 6-day / 5-night experience with 4 guided riding days, crossing from the Mont Blanc region toward Verbier and back into the Aosta Valley. All van support, luggage transfers, and necessary shuttles during the itinerary are included.
At the end of the trip, we coordinate your private return transfer to Turin or Milan Malpensa for departure.

Moderate

This is an accessible Alpine e-MTB journey designed for active riders who are comfortable spending several hours per day on the bike. The routes primarily follow wide alpine tracks, stable mountain roads, and smooth natural trails. The electric assist helps manage elevation comfortably, allowing you to focus on scenery and rhythm rather than effort. You will ride at altitude and cover meaningful distances, but the pace is steady and supported. Luggage transfers and van assistance ensure that each day feels structured and manageable.
A good basic fitness level and prior e-MTB or MTB experience are recommended. You should feel comfortable riding on gravel and natural mountain terrain, but advanced technical skills are not required. This trip is about crossing the Alps in comfort and style: active, scenic, and rewarding without being extreme.

Summer in the Italian Alps offers stable mountain conditions, long daylight hours, and generally dry trails. However, altitude plays a major role, and temperatures can vary significantly between valley floor and high passes.

Valley temperatures (1,000–1,500 m):
Daytime: 20–28°C (68–82°F)
Evening: 12–18°C (54–64°F)

High-altitude sections (2,000–3,000 m):
Daytime: 10–20°C (50–68°F)
Early morning / late afternoon: 5–12°C (41–54°F)

Afternoon thunderstorms are possible, especially in July and August. Conditions can shift quickly at altitude, so layering is essential. Riding typically takes place in dry alpine conditions, but cooler air and wind exposure should always be expected above the tree line.
